Integrity & Compliance Programs

 

ATRQ Global has worked with private and public companies in the US, Europe, Middle East and Asia to strengthen their compliance programs and processes consistent with evolving national and international governmental standards and requirements. Such work has involved, for example:

  • Drafting new or revised codes of conduct, new policies and procedures, compliance training, communications plans and related material;

  • Conducting compliance risks assessments, employee surveys and sensing sessions to evaluate program effectiveness;

  • Building a “speak-up” and open reporting culture;

  • Evaluating compliance organizational competencies, weaknesses and effectiveness;

  • Benchmarking compliance programs in relevant industries for the purposes of gap analysis and improvement;

Risk Management & Prevention

 

ATRQ has worked with companies seeking to mitigate operational, supply chain, reputational and legal risks. This work has included, for example:

  • Assessing and mitigating risk in new product introductions, particularly around product safety and regulatory compliance;

  • Reducing risk in go-to-market strategies with channel partners, distributors, sales agents, and similar intermediaries around the world;

  • Assessing litigation risk and other legal liability risks associated with products and operations;

  • Evaluating the strength of ESG and other corporate responsibility programs;

  • Mitigating risk when entering into new markets, particularly where the rule of law might be weak or corruption is endemic;

  • Designing a stakeholder strategy for new markets;

  • Mitigating reputational and legal risks associated with joint-venture or local-content partners in global geographies.


Regulatory Excellence

 

ATRQ works with clients to develop systems and processes to ensure regulatory compliance. This work often involves advice and recommendations for the following:

  • Designing policies and procedures that allocate responsibility and ensure accountability for compliance to critical regulations;

  • Creating mechanisms to ensure that: a) regulatory concerns or issues are raised and escalated in a timely fashion; b) regulatory concerns are addressed and investigated promptly; c) both interim and long term corrective actions are effective and audited to prevent recurrences; and, d) regulatory issues are taken to root cause and documented appropriately;

  • Ensure that critical regulatory developments and changes are monitored so that the client can anticipate them and also have an opportunity to comment or provide input on them if needed;

  • Drafting careful and appropriate communications to ensure that any “lessons learned” are transmitted to those in the organization who have a need to know.

  • Developing the appropriate internal metrics, governance and oversight for regulatory compliance.
